In-vitro Surgery (2019)

"In-vitro Surgery" is a wearable performance focusing on the subtle sounds from our daily life. With stethoscope connected to both hands, each ear can hear sound coming from each hand. Under the attached lights, every movements became a surgery in vitro environment.

The idea came from my own experience of hearing - I always have difficulty figuring out the direction of sound. Stethoscope is a tool first came in to my mind that tells you where the sound coming from. After experimenting, I found it interesting to hear something you can't hear before, therefore, I decided to emphasize this functionality and developed it into a performance.
